Winter 2012
Ski and snow board season got an early start back in October and is in full swing in 2012 with an amazing winter so far of record snowfalls throughout the Sierra! There are many other fun things to do in the Mammoth Lakes area in addition to strapping boards on your feet and careening down some of the most dramatic terrain in California. Try snow shoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, dog sled rides, snowmobile touring, sledding or any one of the many other great three season recreational opportunities like hiking, mountain biking, boating, fishing, backpacking and much more!

If you want to take time out from active recreation and tour around, there are some amazing things to see in the Mammoth and June Lakes area.

Like the dramatic polished granite domes and pristine high mountain gardens of the Yosemite high country in Tuolomne Meadows, Mono Lake with its dramatic spires and volcanic formations, Mammoth Hot Springs, Bishop and the northern Owens Valley region, the White Mountains with their majestic and ancient Bristlecone Pine forest, and lots more.
